WordPlays.com
offers a mixture of word games and word puzzle tools.
We went on-line in May, 1999. Since then nearly 20 million Boggler
games and 10 million Crossword Challenge games have been played. The
site was originally developed out of frustration in not being able to
solve a cryptogram. The Crypto Cracker was the first page available on
this site. Words In Word, Jumble, Anagram, Word Morph, Crossword
Helper and Boggler were subsequently added, as well as the popular
Scrabble Helper.
In 2007, Wordplays enhancements include:
- 3 new Scrabble word lists, TWL06 (English), French and Italian,
- adding Boggler to Facebook
- an enhanced Scrabble Helper interface,
- additions to the dictionary. The Wordplays dictionary now has nearly 200,000 definitions.

Cheating
From time to time WordPlays
receives e-mails from people who accuse others of cheating. It is clear people
are cheating and many methods used to cheat are known. This site is purely for
entertainment purposes. Please do not ruin the experience for others by
cheating. For those of you who have tried downloading the dictionary one
definition at a time, the dictionary is available free of charge from WordNet
at Princeton University.
I want to express my sincere
appreciation to the folks in the Cognitive Sciences Laboratory at Princeton for
making the results of their work on the dictionary available without charge, and
to all the WordPlays visitors for their support.
